As the flowers suggest, Martha is just that, a "forget-me-not." I have always cherished the time she, Uncle Gwin, Burlin, and Vicky came each summer to NC for family visits. Then after Uncle Gwin retired they moved to NC. Martha left her home state of Alabama to live in Michigan, where she met Gwin. Being the loyal and faithful wife that she was, she then leaves MI to come to NC. She was there for Gwin during each visit to TN to the doctor during his bout with cancer. She had her two children close, and then the grandchildren. Martha demonstrated her true independent character after her husband lost his battle with cancer. Yes, this quite meek woman lived a full life even if she did not live to be 80 or 90 years old. Her laughter and joyfulness of life is now where it should be, in Heaven. What a wonderful Christmas gift!
My love and prayers to you Burlin, Lisa, Ben, Lauren, Vicky, Gabby, Amelia, and Braylon.

I will always cherish the memories I have of dear, sweet Martha. She was the kindest lady I know. I loved playing cards with her and eating out on our many excursions. I miss her already. To her family, I’d like to extend my condolences and assure them of my prayers during this difficult time, though we sorrow not as others who have no hope.
Psalm 116:15 says it best: “Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.” Martha will always be precious to me.

I will miss you Martha. We shared some fun times at the Senior Center for several years! You were so sweet to always put out the chairs for our exercise class. You were a lovely lady and a sweet friend. Now you are with Gwen and catching up on the past years! RIP dear friend. Will see you again one day soon!! Love you!!
