Obituary of Peggy Faye Rigdon

Peggy Faye Rigdon, age 83, of Sylva passed away on Monday, December 28, 2020. She was the wife of Franklin Rigdon and the daughter of the late Jewel and Gertie Revis.

She was a faithful member of Faith Baptist Church and dearly loved her church family and friends. Peggy loved keeping children, dearly loved her family, and loved to cook.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Clay Rigdon; four sisters, Cindy Rigdon, Stella Dowis, Mary Branson, and Carolyn Middleton; one brother, Bobby Jo Revis.

She is survived by her husband of sixty years, Franklin D. Rigdon; two sons, Jay Rigdon of Sylva and Charles (Tammy) Rigdon of Morganton; six grandchildren; Blake Rigdon, Grace Rigdon, Samuel Rigdon, Noah Rigdon, Ashley Parlier, and Dillion Saulman; one great grandson; Maxwell Parlier; three brothers, James (Betty), Claude, and George Revis; two sisters, Sara Parker and Nancy Sherrill. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday December 30, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Fairview Memorial Gardens with  Rev. J.D. Grant and Rev. Ronnie Branson officiating.
