Obituary of Lonnie J. Webb

Lonnie J. Webb, age 69, of Sylva died Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at Med West Harris of Sylva, NC. Mr. Webb was born in Jackson County on October 9, 1943. He is the son of the late Will and the late Eva Bell Patterson Webb. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister. He was employed as a contract mower, was a member of Dicks Creek Baptist Church. He loved hunting, gardening, fishing and spending time with his grandkids. He is survived by his wife: Margie Pannell Webb ; one son, Darren Webb of Detroit, MI; a daughter Connie and Michael Cochran of Cullowhee; two brothers, Leo and Rev. Steve Webb of Cullowhee; a step daughter, Theresa Demas of Virginia; three sisters, Gerlene Ashe of Cullowhee, Willa Mae Posey of Franklin, and Kathy Green of Sylva; two grandchildren, Clint and Megan Cochran; and a special uncle, Hartwell Patterson. The funeral service will be held Saturday, November 24 at 2:00 in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services in Sylva with the Rev. Ricky Conner and Don Biddix officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 2:00 prior to the service. . .
