Obituary of Olsa F Queen

Olsa Wood Queen, age 59, of Little Canada went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 25, 2021. She was the wife of Jack Queen and the daughter of the late Oscar and Emma Lou Wood.

She was a long time member of Promised Land Baptist Church. Olsa loved to cook, crochet, and color. She dearly loved her family, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Clinton Taylor.

She is survived by her husband of thirty-eight years, Jack Queen; one son, Andrew (Whitney) Queen; three daughters, Ashley Queen, Jacqui (Bill Hall) Queen, Tammy (Eric) NIcholson; five grandchildren, Addison Queen, Liam Queen, Grayson Queen, Cheyenne Nicholson and Nicky Etters. Also surviving are one brother, three sisters, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Promised Land Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Bryson, Rev. Markus Owens, and Rev. Ray Houston officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in her name to American Cancer Society, 31 College Place, Asheville, NC 28801.
