Obituary of John Manning Grover Awtrey

John Awtrey, 78, passed away Friday December 7, 2012 at his home in Whittier. An U.S. Marine Veteran and native of Memphis ,TN, he was the son of the late Frank and Irma Awtrey. Besides his parents he was also preceded in death by a brother Harvey. He is survived by his wife of 56 years Betty Awtrey 2 Sons- Stan and his wife Glenda Awtrey of Georgia Mike Awtrey of Whittier 6 Grandchildren- Amanda Jones and her husband Donny, Kate, John, Zack, Taylor and Tyler Awtrey 4 Great Grandchildren- Sarah Grace, Serenity, Ava and Isiaah Jones. 2 Brothers- Jack and David 3 Sisters- Elizabeth, Polly and Clara Many nieces and nephews also survive A Memorial Service will be held at a later date and announced by Appalachian Funeral Services. . .
