Obituary of Lori Marie Swisher

Lori Swisher, age 57, of Tuckasegee, NC, passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2021. She was the wife of Steven Swisher, the daughter of Obeley ‘Butch’ Green and the late Carolyn Weismantel. Lori was preceded in death by her brother, Ronnie ‘Butchie' James Green.

Lori was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and was a homemaker. Her favorite thing was spending time with her family and close friends. If she knew you, she loved you… unconditionally.

In addition to Steven Swisher, her husband of 25 years, she is also survived by four sons; Christopher (Rachel) Bright, Cori (Gabrielle) Green, Ronnie Swisher, and Tristan Swisher. She is also survived by five grandchildren who she adored; Devlin Bright, Kayson Bright, Scott Bright, Kaitlynn Swisher, Aliyah Swisher and one grandson soon to arrive; Malakai Green. She is further survived by her sisters; Karma Weismantel and Jennifer Robin, her niece Rain Weismantel, and nephew Ronnie Green.

A celebration of Lori's life will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at New Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Ernie Jamison officiating. The family will begin receiving friends at 1:30pm, and the service will begin at 2 pm. A ‘Celebration of Life’ reception dinner will immediately follow the services. We hope that you will join us in honoring her life.
