Phillip Huff

Obituary of Phillip Olias Huff

Phillip Olias Huff, 25, transitioned from this world on April 8, 2021.  Phillip's passing occurred while camping in the woods (his favorite place to be) near his home with family and friends. A native and lifelong son of Jackson County, Phillip leaves behind his Cullowhee family consisting of his mom and dad; Polly and Ron Huff, his sister; Raine Huff (Hunter Pate) and his 3 year old nephew; Sterling Phillip Lowell Pate. In addition, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many special friends grieve the passing of Phillip Olias. His passing has reunited him with his grandparents and many other friends who preceded his death as they welcome him home with open and loving arms. Phillip's enamoring smile, wry humor, love of home, family and friends as well as his large heart of gold were only a few of his defining characteristics. Phillip knew no strangers and was happy to offer an encouraging and insightful word. We are devastated by the untimely loss of our youthful son and friend, so please join with us as we will celebrate Phillip's life with a gathering at his home on John's Creek on his birthday, April 28, from 3 to 10 p.m. All friends and acquaintances are invited to come and stay as long as they would like as we celebrate this true Old Soul son of Cullowhee. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you consider a donation in Phillip's name to the Mainspring Conservation Trust or a conservation organization of your choice.
