Betty Ashe Gentry Luker

March 21, 1935 – May 19, 2021

Betty Ashe Gentry Luker, 86 went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 19, 2021, surrounded by her family. Betty was born in Jackson County to the late Joe Marion and Bessie Locust Ashe and was preceded in death by her sons; Joe Gentry and David Gentry, and also Robert Gentry the father of her children.

 Betty enjoyed traveling, singing, crocheting, and her flowers. Most of all she loved her “grandbabies.” She was a lifelong member of Balsam Missionary Baptist Church.

Betty is survived by her son; Johnny and wife Annette Gentry, one sister; Mary Joe Cagle, 5 grandchildren; Tracy Kennedy, Brian Gentry, Adaire Murray/Dusty, Elizabeth Gentry, Zeb Gentry/Hayley, 12 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.

Visitation will be at 1:00 Friday, May 21, at Balsam Baptist Church with the funeral to follow at 2:00 with Reverend Greg Cullen officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
