Obituary of James Robert Moses

James R. Moses, 71, of Sylva, died Thursday June 3, 2021 at Harris Regional Hospital in Sylva, NC. 

Born January 1, 1950 in Newport News, Virginia, he was the son of the late Burgan and Betty Jo Crawford Moses. 

He is survived by aunts Bonnie Hooper of Cullowhee and Billie Jones of Dillsboro and many cousins. 

Jimmy graduated from trade school in Fisherville, VA as a licensed Barber. He was a humble person who found simple joy in going to Walmart and buying birdfood so he could go home and watch the birds. He would wash dishes at Webster Baptist Church for their food ministry at Christmas time. He was also a huge Virginia Cavalier and New York Yankee fan. 

A Graveside Service will be held 11:00 am Monday June 7, 2021 at Fairview Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Scott Carter officiating
