Obituary of Kenneth Harold Frady

Kenneth Harold Frady, Age 57, of Sylva, NC, passed away on Thursday, June 3, 2021 after a brief illness. He was born in Jackson Co. Sylva, NC.

He was the son of the late Kenneth Howard Frady who passed in 1984, and Gladys Cunningham Frady currently of Atlanta Georgia. He is survived by his wife of 39 years Karen Jones Frady, his son Kristopher Shawn Frady of the home; Mother-in-law Priscilla Jones; Brothers: Tim Frady of Sylva, James Frady of Atlanta, Jason Frady (Jennifer) of Sylva and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son Kevin Lee Frady who died in 2011, and Father-in-law Harry Jones of Sylva who died in 2008.

Kenny Served 20 years as a Sergeant in the US Army, Army Reserve and the National Guard. He was stationed in Hanau, Germany for 3 years, 101^st Airborne Division in Fort Campbell, Ky. He served in Desert Storm with Bravo Co., 326^th Engineer as assistant squad leader and demolition specialist and was also Air assault qualified. After the military he started working in construction. He enjoyed fishing, boating, spending time with his family and dogs Luna and Bam Bam who were like children to him. Kenneth’s greatest pleasure was spending time with his wife Karen and doing what she enjoyed to do.

The services for Kenny will be held at Appalachian Funeral Service in Sylva NC on Tuesday, June 8^th with visitation from 5:00 to 6:30, Memorial service will follow with military honors. Rev. Cory Boone will be officiating.
