Obituary of Steven Joe Moore

Steven “Steve” Joe Moore, age 58 of Sylva NC, passed away on Thursday, June 10, 2021.   He was born on June 12, 1962, in Jackson County, to Joseph Ray and Dorothy (Ramsey) Moore.

Steve was an outdoor sportsman. He had a passion for bear hunting, fishing, camping, hunting ginseng, and ramp digging, but his greatest enjoyment was spending time with his grandchildren. His “happy place” was his time spent at Lake Chatgue.  Steve worked Maintenance for 25 years at Tuckaseigee Water & Sewer.

Steve will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Vickie (Ammons); son, Steven Cody; daughter, Brandi Nicole, five stepchildren; grandchildren, Khloe, Breaden, Aubree, Hayden, Brantley; special cousins, Karen Rigdon, Debi Cogdill, and Mike Moore.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph; and grandson, Braxxton Cody Moore 

A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00AM, Saturday June 12, 2021, at Fairview Memorial Gardens, Sylva.  (PLEASE MEET AT THE CEMETERY).  Reverend Roger Patterson will officiate.
