Obituary of Kenneth Ray Kotila

Kenneth Kotila, 53, passed away Wednesday January 2, 2013 at his home in Sylva. A native of Orlando, Florida, he resided in Jackson County most of his life and was the son of the late Russell and Virginia Kotila. Kenny was a chef by trade and had been employed by The Hyatt in Florida, The Court Hill Inn in Sylva as well as the Pancake Barn and Kentucky Fried Chicken. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Dean and Alan Kotila. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Sonya Franklin Kotila Brother- Jim Kotila and his wife Marsha of Cullowhee 4 Nephews- August, Rueben, Zachary and John Niece- Taran Smith Sister-in-law- Linda Dodd of St. Augustine, Fla. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday January 5 at Loves Chapel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Loy Kennedy and Rev. Aryn Williams officiating. The family will receive friends from 12 Noon until 2:00 PM prior to the Service at the Church. Burial will follow in Ashe Cemetery.
