Obituary of Theresa Campbell

On Sunday, June 27, 2021, Mary Theresa "Terry" Campbell at age 92 entered her Heavenly home surrounded by her family. She was greeted at Heavens Gates by her cherished Grandson Buddy Baird, parents Leola and Kenneth Campbell, brothers; Leo and Vernon Campbell and her sister Catherine Ann. Terry will be lovingly remembered by her 6 children, Shirley Cagle (Mike), Joyce Wright (Scott Massie), Jimmy Watts, Scott Watts, Gary Friemuth (Sherry), Bo Friemuth (Trudy), 20 grandchildren, 38 Great Grandchildren and 10 Great Great Grandchildren. Brothers; George, Peter, Richard and Thomas Campbell, and sisters; Frances Kowalik, Ann Mosman and Edna Mae Baer also survive.

Terry was born in Bloomingdale, NY on November 26, 1928. She has lived in several different places in her lifetime, enjoying dancing, sewing, playing cards and bingo. She was a lifetime member of the VFW Ladies Auxillary and worked as a CNA after she retired from manufacturer positions. She was an accomplished seamstress creating several wedding dresses for family and friends. Each Christmas all would receive a grandma created item. 

A special thanks to the staff at Skyland Care Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, they have treated Terry like their own grandmother for the past 3 years.

A Funeral Service in memory of Terry will be held on Wednesday July 7, 2021 at 2:00 PM at St. Marys Mother of God Catholic Church in Sylva, NC.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm till 2:00 pm prior to the Service at the Church. Burial will be at Rocky Branch Cemetery in Waynesville, NC., with fellowship immediatley following at her daughters' Shirley Cagle home. For those who desire to do so, Memorial donations may be made to the Activities Department at Skyland Care Center, 193 Skyland Dr, Sylva NC 28779

Pallbearers will be Sarah Gilbert, Kelly Baird, Alan Wright, Lucas Friemuth, Eric Wright, Todd Wright and Honorary pallbearers will be Great Grandsons.
