Obituary of Dennis Eugene Morgan

Dennis Eugene Morgan, 72, of Sylva passed away on Friday, July 09, 2021. Eugene was born on September 28, 1948 in Jackson County to the late David and Evie Morgan. Eugene loved to joke around with everyone. He enjoyed going hunting and fishing and he was a member of Sugar Creek Baptist Church. Eugene worked as a logger for 42 years. He loved his family and his family loved him. He will be dearly missed.

Eugene is survived by his daughter, Belinda Clawson (Ben); son, Brian Morgan; grandchildren, Makayla Clawson, Shelbi Clawson, Hunter Morgan, and Shanlie Morgan; one great grandchild, Clayton Ingerick. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to his parents, Eugene is preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.

A graveside memorial service will be held will be held at 3:00pm on Sunday, July 11, 2021 at Balsam Grove Cemetery. Rev. Carl Stepp and Rev. Caleb Kelly will be officiating.
