Obituary of Scott William Alligood

Scott William Alligood, 45, of Sylva, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday morning July 14, 2021.

Scott had been a resident of Jackson County for over 25 years and touched alot of lives and made a huge impact on so many people along the way. He was a Charter Member and an Officer with the Jackson Rangers Camp 1917. He was a lifetime outdoorsman which is actually what brought him to Jackson County from Fayetteville. He was a Regional Team Leader at Budweiser of Sylva and before that had been a Store Manager at Food Lion. He was still a very active Assistant Scout Master of Troop 914 in Jackson County. He loved spending time with his friends and family and will be missed dearly by all that knew him. 

He is survived by his Mother and Father, Howard and Kathleen Alligood

His wife of 24 years and High School Sweetheart Chrissy Alligood

His Daughter; Emily Alligood of Sylva

His Son; Scott Alligood Jr of Sylva

His Sisters; Twin Sister Kayla Dotson of Idaho and Hannah Alligood of Hickory, NC

His Brother; Howard Forrest Alligood of Bailey, NC

He was preceded in death by his father and mother in law James and Barbara, his Grandmother Carol Walker and his Uncle Keith Walker, his Grandmother and Grandfather; Elenor and Charles Eich and also by Carl Eich

A Memorial Service will be held 4:00 pm Sunday July 18, 2021 in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services. The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 4:00 prior to the Service at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to ARF of Jackson County, PO Box 298, Sylva ,NC 28779
