Obituary of Barbara Sue Sherrill

Barbara Sue Sherrill, 75, of Sylva passed away Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at Vero Health and Rehab. Barbara was born on November 20, 1945 in Jackson County to the late Howard and Myrtle Jones. Barbara loved spending time with family and friends. She was always trading or buying cars. Barbara was a beautician for 40 years, she enjoyed doing her job. She attended Wilkesdale Baptist Church in Sylva.

Barbara is survived by her son, Jeffery Jones; granddaughter, Rachel Jones; sister, Freda Chandler (Richard) of Cherokee; and brother, Jerry Jones (Lorita) of Robbinsville.

In addition to her parents, Barbara is preceded in death by her sister, Joann Howell and infant brother, Theodore Jones.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 12pm on Friday, July 16, 2021 at Fairview Memorial Gardens with Rev. Eddie Stillwell officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00am-12:00pm prior to the service at Appalachian Funeral Services.
