Obituary of Margaret Fuller

Margaret "Peggy" Fuller, 97, formerly of South Boston, VA, died August 15, 2021 in Sylva, NC, where she was in the care of Morningstar Assisted Living. 

Peggy was married for 51 years to Irving M. "Dale" Fuller who preceded her in death on January 10, 2007. They were wed October 1, 1955 at First Presbyterian Church in South Boston, VA where they were active and devoted members for the decades that followed. 

Peggy was born January 21, 1924 in Sodus, NY, the second of seven children born to William and Rachel Littlefield. After high school she worked in nursing and dental assisting. Following her marriage to Dale, she became a dedicated homemaker and loving mother to their three children. Peggy taught Sunday School, volunteered as Cub Scout den mother, and then as a Girl Scout leader. She was an artist, an outstanding seamstress and award-winning quilt maker. Later in life, she, along with husband Dale, volunteered regularly for The Good Samaritan and at The Woodview Nursing Home. 

Peggy is survived by her children; Charles Fuller of Cincinnati, OH, Sarah Hall (Gregory) of Sylva, NC, and Katherine McKenzie (Iain) of Toano, VA, a sister; Ann Goodwin, of Graham, WA; six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. 

Graveside services were held on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Halifax Memorial Gardens with Rev. Glenn Coleman officiating.
