Obituary of Lela Jean Phillips

Lela Jean Phillip ,RN, 83, of Dillsboro, passed away Thursday February 14, 2013. A native and lifelong resident of Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Dan and Nina Patterson Phillips. She was a nurse who had worked in the offices of Dr.David Daniel, Dr. Frank Jones and Dr. Chung. She was a member of Jarrett Memorial Baptist Church. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her sister Barbara Light and brother in law Roy. She is survived by her brother- Jerry Phillips and his wife Maudie of Whittier Her sister- Danna Phillips of Dillsboro Niece- Sally Blalock and her husband Tony of Tennessee Nephew- Mike Light and his wife Gretchen of Texas Funeral Services will be 3:00 PM Sunday February 17 at Jarrett Memorial Baptist Church with the Rev. Cory Boone officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 until 3:00 PM prior to the service at the Church. Burial will be in Locust Field Cemetery.
