Obituary of Maurica Ann West

Maurica Ann Shuler West, 53, of Sylva passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2013. Born June 25, 1959 in Swain County, NC. she is the daughter of Maurice William and Christine Reeves Shuler of Sylva. She had worked in the medical field and was very active at Lifeway Community Church. Besides her parents she is survived by 2 Sons- Nathan West of Sylva Jason Davis West of Florida Daughter- Patty Ann Homan and her husband Nick of Florida 2 Brothers- Mark Shuler and Marty Shuler 2 Step Brothers- Gary Shuler and Larry Proctor Sister- Pamela Shuler 2 Step Sisters- Iris Earl and Linda Franklin 2 Grandchildren also survive Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Saturday March 16 in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services with the Rev. Mike Abbott officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2:00 PM prior to the Service at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park.
