Obituary of Ray Sutton

Ray Sutton, age 62, Sylva, died Sunday, March 17, 2013 at Carolina Medical North East of Concord, NC. Mr. Sutton was born January 24, 1951 in Sylva, NC. He is the son of the late Fred Lewis and Ruby (Sutton) Sutton. He was self-employed as a painter. He enjoyed fishing and was a NASCAR fan of Jeff Gordon. He was preceded in death by his father; an infant brother and sister, a brother Robert Sutton; an uncle, Lewis Sutton, and two aunts, Doris Green and Rachel Cogdill. He is survived by his mother, Ruby; a daughter, Niki Sutton; two aunts, Ruth Lyons and Birdie Buchanan; several nieces and nephews; and a special family friend, Becky Reeves. A funeral service will be held in the chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services in Sylva on Wed. March 20, at 7:00 pm with the Rev. Darin Reeves officiating.
