Obituary of Kevin Kane Leonard

Kevin Kane Leonard, 15, of Sylva, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 26, 2013. A freshman at Swain County High School, he enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, hunting, and really enjoyed listening to music and Dee Jaying. He loved riding his motorcycle and four wheeler. He is survived by his Mother-Amanda Eaton of Sylva, Father- Matthew Leonard and his wife Bethany of Highlands Sisters- Alexis Tenille Leonard and Trenady Bell Brother- Ethan Matthew Leonard Maternal Grandparents- Margaret and Lonnie (Pop) Smith of Sylva Paternal Grandmother- Wendy Henkel and her husband Rusty of Cashiers Uncle- Matthew Smith Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Monday April 1 in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services with the Rev. Don Biddix and Rev. Steve Kerhoulas officiating. The Mothers side of the family, the Smiths, will receive friends from 6 until 8:00 pm Sunday evening at the Funeral Home. The Fathers side of the family, the Leonards will receive friends Monday from 12 until 2:00 pm prior to the Service at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Appalachian Funeral Services to assist with the funeral expenses. . .
