Obituary of Jonah Kalonaheskie

Jonah Kalonaheskie, age 57, of Cherokee died Sunday, July 10, 2011 at Cherokee Indian Hospital of Cherokee, NC. Jonah was born January 24, 1954 in Cherokee, NC He was the son of the late Styles and the late Susie Armachain Kalonaheskie and was preceded in death by one son, Jason David Kalonaheskie; two brothers, James and Styles Kalonaheskie Jr.; and one sister, Mary Jane Kalonaheskie. He is survived by a daughter Angelia Kalonaheskie of Cherokee; two brothers, Charles Kalonahsekie and Thomas Driver, both of Cherokee; four sisters, Nannie Calhoun, Josephine Calhoun, and Geneva Watty, all of Cherokee; and Shirley Seemore of IL. Three grand children also survive. Graveside service will be 11 AM Friday in the Kalonaheskie Family Cemetery. The Rev. Lisa Hardesty will officiate. A memorial service will be held at a later date, arrangements will be posted when confirmed.
