Obituary of Annie Belle Blanton

Annie Belle Blanton,101 of Sylva passed away Saturday evening, September 7, 2013 at The Hermitage Assisted Living Center. Born in Jackson County July 8, 1912 she was the daughter of the late Robert and Emeline Watson Shuler and was also preceded in death by her husband Rev. Glenn Blanton, daughter Dessie McMahan, and three grandsons, four brothers and four sisters. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, crocheting and sewing and was the oldest member of the Ochre Hill Baptist Church. She is survived by two daughters Peggy and husband L.C. McMahan and Jessie Jones both of Sylva 3 granddaughters, 7 great grandchildren and 9 great great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, September 10 in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services with the Revs. Dr. J.D.Grant and Earl Holden officiating. The family will receive friends Monday evening form 6 until 8:00 PM at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Fairview Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be the great grandsons. The family will be at her residence 44 Dusty Lane in Sylva at all other times. .
