Obituary of Jerdie Bryson

Jerdie Coggins Bryson, age 92, of Sylva died Sunday, July 24, 2011 at Med West Harris in Sylva, NC. Jerdie was born January 22, 1919 in Pine Creek Community. She is the daughter of the late James Garfield and the late Ethel (Stewart) Coggins. She was preceded in death by her husband Fred L. Bryson and brothers and sisters Bonnie Coggins, Vernon Coggins, Vaughn Coggins, Colman Coggins, Woodrow Coggins,Bessie Mae Moss, Weaver Coggins and Brona Lee Turney and two grandchildren. She is survived by three daughters Christine Sutton of Cary, NC., Bess Jones and husband Carl of Clyde and Joyce Cloer of Sylva, one son Henry Bryson and his wife Jeanne of Sylva. Two sisters Edna Coggins and Moqueta Sutton both of Rock Hill SC. Family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Tuesday July 26 at Appalachian Funeral Services in Sylva. Private family burial will follow with the Rev. Earl Holden officiating . .
