Obituary of Tilmon Junell Fortner

Tilmon Junell Fortner, 76, of Hayesville, formerly of Cullowhee, passed away Tuesday evening October 15, 2013 at his residence. A native of Jackson County he was the son of the late William Arthur and Mindora Broom Fortner. Junell was a craftsman and enjoyed making clocks and watches. He also was an avid hunter, fisherman and gardener. He loved making music and spending time with his family. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers Odell and Furman Fortner and by his sisters Edith Quayle and Maxine Fortner. He is survived by 3 Brothers- Fornes Gene Fortner of Dillsboro Eddie Fortner of Sweet Home, Oregon Tommy Fortner of Cashiers 5 Sisters- Betty Middleton of Sylva Patsy Quayle of Portland, Oregon Marlene Jones of Sylva Linda Fortner of Cashiers Susie English of Cashiers Companion- Lorraine Russell of Hayesville 31 Nieces and Nephews also survive A Graveside Service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday morning, October 17 at Mathis Cemetery in Little Canada with the Rev.
