Obituary of James Soloman Brooks

James Soloman Brooks, 71, of Cherokee, passed away Tuesday October 22, 2013. A native of Copper Hill, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Elige and Bessie Mae Mikles Brooks. He enjoyed going to flea markets, yard sales and loved to Fish and hunt. He was preceded in death by his son, James and 2 sisters. He is survived by 2 Daughters- Tammy Walkingstick of Cherokee and Wanda Burdette of Cannon, Georgia 3 Brothers- Roger Brooks of Toccoa, GA, Benjamin Brooks of Waynesville and Timothy Brooks of Eastanollee..GA 2 Sisters- Mary Etta Crosby of Clyde and Diane of SC 4 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren Funeral Services will be 11:30 am Saturday October 26 in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services with the Revs. Rusty Wolfrey and Benny Bagwell officiating. Visitation will be from 10 am until 11:30 prior to the Service. Burial will be in Victory Baptist Church Cemetery .
