Obituary of John " Pat " Harold Clayton

John " Pat " Clayton, 63, of Cullowhee passed away Tuesday November 5, 2013 at his home. Pat was born March 17, 1950 in Sylva, NC, and resided in Cullowhee most of his life. Pat graduated from Western Carolina University with a degree in political science. He was active in the Sportsman's Club and History Round Table in Cullowhee. He was very community minded, supporting the Cullowhee Fire Department and other community causes. He was a member of Cullowhee Baptist Church, enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading, woodworking and was an amazing uncle. Pat is survived by His mother- Catherine McGuire Clayton of Cullowhee Brother- David (Hope) Clayton of Morganton, NC 2 Sisters- Ann (Nick) Fowler of Hendersonville, NC Janie (Gary) Lambert of Hickory, NC 6 Nephews he imparted all of the vital skills too like only he could Jacob Clayton of Boulder, CO, Aaron Clayton of Chapel Hill, NC, Ansel Clayton of Asheville, NC, Jonathan Lambert of Hickory, NC, Cody Lambert of Hickory, NC and Evan Fowler of Hendersonville, NC He was preceded in death by his father, John Clayton and by a sister Martha A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday November 9, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Cullowhee Baptist Church. The family will receive friends immediately following the Service at the Church.
