Obituary of James Robert Johnson

James Robert Johnson, 50, retired Marine Sergeant , of Sylva passed away Thursday, December 5, 2013 at his home in Sylva. James was born September 21, 1963 in Portland, ME. He is the son of the late Herbert and Diane (Ford) Johnson. Mr. Johnson retired as a gunnery sergeant from the Marines. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Herbert Johnson, Jr. He is survived by two sons, James Richard Johnson and Joshua Johnson of Coatesville, PA; three sisters, Patty Phillips from Maine, Lisa Foster and Linda Flucus, both of Arizona; and a brother, Raymond Rolls of Maine. A Military Funeral Service will be held 12: 00 PM Thursday in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services. Burial will be in NC Veterans Cemetery, Black Mountain. . .
