Obituary of Raymond Eugene Pusz

Raymond Eugene Pusz, age 62, of Sylva died Sunday, January 5, 2014 at Mission Hospitals Memorial Campus in Asheville, NC. Mr. Pusz was born February 7, 1951 in Erwin, TN. He is the son of the late Buddy Harris and the late Yvonne (Presnell) Pusz and his late stepfather Leonard Anthony Pusz. Ray loved trout fishing, cooking, and caring for his children and family. He served in the US Army through two tours of Vietnam and retired from his career in law enforcement from the Catawba County Sheriff’s Department . He is survived by his wife Rosemary Denise (Livingston) Pusz, one son Shane Pusz of Chapel Hill, one daughter Maleah Pusz of Waynesville, one half-daughter Toshia Newton of Winston Salem, one brother Robert Harris of Poplar, NC, and a half-sister Jeanette Megas of Schenectady, NY. The family will receive friends at visitation on Thursday, January 9, 2014 from 5:00 until 8:00 pm at Appalachian Funeral Services.
