Obituary of Micheal (Mike) Keith Bryson

Micheal (Mike) Keith Bryson, age 60, of Sylva died at home in Sylva on Friday, February 7, 2014. A resident of Jackson County, Mike was born December 18, 1953. He is the son of the late Hugh Bert and the late Hazel (Turpin) Bryson. He is survived by a daughter, Marnie Bryson of Denver, CO; a brother, Hugh Bryson of Asheville, and sisters, Dorothea Coe and Nancy Decker of Sylva; Dixie Miller of Berkley Springs, WV; Sara Hall of Virginia Beach, VA; and Glenda Crawford of Plasida, FL. Mike retired from Verizon as a telephone engineer, he attended the First United Methodist Church of Sylva and was an avid fisherman. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm on Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014 at Appalachian Funeral Services in Sylva, NC, with the Rev. Dan Styles officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:00 pm. .
