Obituary of Velma Lou Webb
Velma Allison Webb, 71, of Sylva, went home to be with her Lord, Friday, April 4, 2014. A native and lifelong resident of Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Jessie Allison. Velma enjoyed crocheting and knitting and was a member of Tilley Creek Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her 2 brothers Gene and Jack Allison and her 3 sisters Cleta Sorrells, Frances Connor and Sue Hensley.
She is survived by her daughter- Kimberly York of Whittier
2 Grandchildren- Jessie and Corey York
2 Great Grandchildren
4 Brothers- Doyle Allison of Enka/Candler
Donald Allison of Arden
Marvin Allison of Sylva
Curtis Allison of Webster
2 Sisters- Pat Blanton of Black Mountain
Bethel McCarter of Clinton, TN
A special nephew – Darren Webb of Warren, Michigan
Several nieces and nephews also survive
A Memorial Service will be held 7:00 PM Monday April 7 in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services with the Revs. Eddie Stillwell and Steve Webb officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:30 till 7:00 prior to the Service at the Funeral Home.
