Obituary of George M. Nicholson

George M. Nicholson, age 69 of Sylva, passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at Skyland Care Center in Sylva, NC. George was born March 16, 1945 in Jackson County, NC. He is the son of the late Garfield and the Winnie (Watson) Nicholson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Hayes Nicholson and a sister Elizabeth Watson. He was a Carpenter by trade. He is survived by two sons, Lukas Nicholson of Sylva and Joshua Siler of Robbinsville, one daughter, Rachel Bravo of Asheville, one sister, Edna Leona Mathis of Dillsboro and three grandchildren. A Graveside service will be held Saturday April 26, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the Balsam Grove Cemetery. The Rev. Eddie Stillwell will officiate. . .
