Obituary of Edgar Franks

Edgar Franks, 70, of Sylva died Sunday, April 20, 2014 at his home in Sylva. Edgar was born January 30, 1944 in Jackson County. He is the son of the late Robert Lee and Louetta Mashburn Franks. He was the owner and operator of Franks Garage and Wrecker Service for 32 years. He was preceded in death by five siblings. Edgar was a member of the Zion Hill Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Barbara (Carver) Franks of the home and two brothers Lester Lee and Raymond Ernest Franks of Sylva. A Funeral service will be held Thursday April 24, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the Zion Hill Baptist Church with the Revs. Eddie Stillwell, Keith Ashe and Steve Webb officiating. Burial will be in Zion Hill Cemetery. The Family will receive friends Wednesday April 23, 2014 from 6:00 PM Until 8:00 PM at Appalachian Funeral Services. . .
