Obituary of Donna Sue West

Donna Sue West, 73, of Cherokee, went home to be with her Lord Monday evening May 12, 2014 at her residence. A native of Tulsa, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of the late Phillip Donnell and Ollie McLeod. She loved cooking at Tsali Care Center and taking care of her family. She was the greatest friend, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother you could have. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by 2 brothers Tommy and Cleve Sexton and her sister Bernice Rattler. She is survived by her husband of 50 years Johnnie Ray West 2 Daughters- Lori Hanks Huglemaier of Raleigh Cathy Hanks of Sylva 4 Sons- Thomas P. Hanks (Adele) of Franklin, WV Frank L. Hanks of Red Deer, Alberta, Canada James R. West II (Debbie) of Cherokee John Ray West II (Barbara) of Cherokee 14 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren also survive The Family will receive friends from 6 until 10:00 pm Wednesday May 14 at Yellow Hill Baptist Church of which she was a member. In lieu of flowers donations are to be made to one’s home Church. .
