Obituary of Eleanor Teresa Bradshaw
Eleanor Teresa Willy Bradshaw, 84, of Whittier, NC, passed away at her home Saturday May 31, 2014, while surrounded by her husband and children following a brave cancer battle. She was born November 10, 1929 in Tuxpan Veracruz Mexico to Edward Fulton Willy and Ana Teresa “Teri” Echevarria Willy. After moving to the States with her family as a young child, she went on to complete business school, marry and raise a family.
She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years Charles A. Bradshaw
2 Daughters- Linda C. Sawyer and husband David of Bryson City, Terry (Gail) Bradshaw Bass and husband Barry of Helena, MT.
Son- Charles E. Bradshaw and wife Cindy of Rossville, GA
2 Sisters- Ann Willy Yates of Conroe, TX. Alice Willy Rives of Pearland, TX.
A special niece Amy Bradshaw Kleiman of Alexandria, VA.
6 Grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and loving friends.
In addition to raising her loving family and spending many years as a homemaker, she also worked outside the home and alongside her husband in various business ventures. She enjoyed reading, gardening, history, painting, crafts and genealogy. She was a longtime member of St. John’s Episcopal Church of Sylva, NC.
She is preceded in death by her parents, an infant brother and an infant granddaughter.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am Tuesday June 3 in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services with the Rev. Ron Allen officiating. Visitation will be from 10 until 11:00 prior to the Service at the Funeral Home. Interment will be at the family cemetery in Whittier.
