Obituary of Dillard A Nowlin

Dateline......Sylva Dillard A Nowlin, 85, of Sylva, passed away Wednesday September 7, 2011 at his residence. A native of Oak Hill, West Virginia , he was the son of the late Luther and Blanche Lewis Nowlin. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy and had retired from Ford Motor Company where he was an inspector. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by 4 Brothers, Luther Jr., Thomas, James and Donald. He is survived by his wife of 63 years Betty McClure Nowlin 1 Daughter- Dana Berson of Sylva 5 Brothers- Kenneth and his wife Jackie of Arrowhead Beach, NC William and his wife Elouise of Mio, Mich. Douglas of Mio, Mich John and his wife Kathy of Shenandoah, VA Robert and his wife Eileen of Tevares, Fla. 2 Sisters- Wanda Poe of Okley, Mich Virginia Toxey and her husband Elliot of Virginia Beach, VA 1 Grandson- Michael and his wife Erika Nowlin of Waynesville Several nieces and nephews also survive A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
