Obituary of Charles E. Henson

Charles E. Henson, 69 of Cashiers died Saturday, September 27, 2014 at Highland Cashiers Hospital in Highlands, NC. Charles was born August 25, 1945 in Jackson County, NC. He is the son of the late Frank Edgar Henson Sr. and Edith Norton Henson and was preceded in death by a brother Frank Edgar Henson Jr. He was a wood worker building Custom Cabinets and enjoyed his family and going to yard sales and was a member of Cashiers Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife: Betty (Rice) Henson and two sons Brandon and wife Bridgett Henson and Charles Henson Jr. both of Cashiers and two daughters Tina Krafft of Cashiers and Kristy Ward of Oriental, NC and two brothers Marshall Henson of Franklin, NC and T.R. Henson of Apopka, Fl. Seven grandchildren Ethan, Samantha, Chase, Kimberly, Jennifer, Leigh and Zach also survive. A funeral service will be held Monday September 29, 2014 at 3:00 PM in the Cashiers Baptist Church with the Rev. Scotty Patrick and Rev. Johnny Norris officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday September 28, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM in the Cashiers Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Norton Cemetery.
