Bobby and I would like to express our condolences to Boyce and his family for the loss of his father. We never had the pleasure of meeting him but I know he had to have been a wonderful person to have raised a son as nice and friendly as Boyce is. Again our sympathy to all of the Deitz family.

My husband, T and I have had the pleasure of knowing Clayton for about 8 years. He made us feel at home from the first time we met him. Eventually, he met Suzie Lewis and than really became part of our family. He was a great teacher of many things but for us, he taught us many different types of dances. I told Clayton the last time we spent time together at the hospital that we would dance again soon but on God's dance floor. The "Possum" man was also such a great story-teller. Knowing Clayton was my pleasure and will be greatly missed by us and most of all by Suzie. To Suzie and Clayton's family, our hearts break for you now but I know God will comfort you and be with you through all of this. Just remember al the good times we laughed and spent together and that will certainly warn your hearts. Love to all.

For a long time Clayton would be chuckling when he saw me on the dance floor. One evening I went to him in mock anger and asked, "Are you laughing at me Clayton?" He chuckled some more and said, "No gal, I just like watching you. All those other people dance in one spot like they're stuck to the floor. You dance all over the place and smile while you're doing it. Looks like you're having a lot of fun." I was at another dance Friday night and was overwhelmed by the feeling that he was watching me again, so I started dancing all over the place with joy in my heart, a smile on my face and said to myself, "This one is for you dear buddy. Laugh away, laugh away." It was the next day little "Susie Q" called to give me the sad news of his passing.
Clayton was a joy to know and dance with. He loved keeping us ladies off balance with all his twists, turns, dance forward, backward, side by side. Save me a dance dear friend! You will be missed by many.
Love, Joanna "Banana.

Our sincerest sympathy goes out to Clayton's family. We will miss seeing him at the senior dances, he could really glide around the dance floor. Clayton always had a joke to tell and we were honored to call him, "friend". He would always address Link as George since he reminded him of George Jones. Clayton was one of a kind and was proud to have served his country. He may be gone but he will never be forgotten and one day we'll meet again and instead of Waltzing Across Texas, one of Clayton's favorites, we'll see him Waltzing Across Heaven. God bless you Clayton and God bless your family and friends that miss you.
