My thoughts and prayers are with the family of this remarkable man. What a legacy he has left behind. He worked hard, provided for his family, served his community, and his church. He was kind and honest. He always greeted you with a smile. The last few times I saw him was at Dr. Gallinger's office. He was carrying his oxygen, and didn't have that spring in his step, like he had before. But, he still greeted me with that smile. I enjoyed our conversations. I'll miss him. He has touched so many lives in our community. May God grant you peace during this difficult time. We can rejoice in knowing RO is celebrating in heaven.

R.O. was one of the finest people I have ever known! He was kind, caring, hardworking, dependable and good-natured. I will never forget the time many, many years ago he climbed the mountain in front of our house on Cane Creek and found a TV signal on the Locust Creek side. He then had to run the wire down Lee Ensley's fence line, across the creek, the road and up the bank to our house. We could finally enjoy TV thanks to his hard work and perseverance. We loved going into Vance Hardware and looking through the crocks, churns, bird houses and all the other wonderful items in the store. It was always a pleasure to talk to him - he was always smiling and always helpful. He was someone you could look up to, trust and respect - a truly remarkable man! Mike and I would like to extend our deepest sympathy to each of you. Prayers for peace and comfort during this very difficult time.
