Obituary of Helen "Bell" Lucille Davis

Helen "Bell" McCoy Davis, age 86 of Sylva, NC, passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2014, at her home among friends and family. She was the wife of John Clifford Davis who died in 1983. She is survived by a son, Joe Bob Davis, a daughter, Linda Cunningham (Tom), a granddaughter, Kimberly Davis Corelli (Mike), a great granddaughter, Kaitlyn Corelli, a sister, Annie McCoy Hollifield and a sister-in-law, Willa Davis Nieman. Born in 1928, Bell was preceded in death by her parents, Ella Mae McCoy and Fred McCoy, brothers; Fred, Jr., Johnny, and Jimmy McCoy, sisters; Martha "Sis" Keith, Bessie Taylor and Hilda (Billy) Clark. She was a home-maker, enjoyed raising her family, taking care of her garden and flowers, baby-sitting, as well as working as a care giver in her later years. The funeral will be in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at 2:00 pm. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Rev. Phillip Hurst and Rev. Mike Farmer will be officiating. Burial will be in Dills Cemetery. An online registry is available at www.appalachianfuneralservices.com . .
