Obituary of Kenneth P. Kaufman

Kenneth P. Kaufman, age 69, passed away Thursday, September 29, 2011 at his home in Sylva. He was born in Richmond, Va. and was the son of the late David and Lillian Von Sternberg. He received his BS from Tulane University and his Ph.D. from UNC Chapel Hill. He retired from NC State Government He was a avid mountain biker and loved hiking and mountain photography. He is survived by his wife of 46 years Marilynn Breen Kaufman 2 sons- Steve Kaufman of Wake Forest, NC and Jonathan Kaufman of Portland, OR. 1 Sister- Ann Mandelbaum of Reston, VA. and 1 grandson.
