What a joy it was for me to know your mother! I felt so blessed to be taken under her wing in the first years of my teaching career. She and Louise (Edwards)
treated me like family and helped me learn the ways of the families I taught.
Frances was always full of local & family news, fun ideas, and great recipes and willing to share. She always brought a smile to my face when I encountered her. I know she was a wonderful mother just from the tales she told about you children. I knew Charles best and especially remember some of his growing up years.
I know it is always hard to let your Mama go
for awhile, but I know you thank God for giving you such a fine mama. She set good examples for all of us.
I was happy to have called her friend and appreciate having known her.
I hope each of you can feel a hug for me. I know you will stay close to each other and continue her legacy.
Love from Mary Anne Roos

To the Family of Frances Hyatt
Margie and I did not know of the passing of Mrs. Hyatt until
we read the obituary in the Sylva Herald dated Jan. 22, '15.
Otherwise we would have attended her service at Shoal Creek.
Frances and John and their five precious children were an
encouraging presence when I served as interim pastor at Shoal
Creek Baptist on two occasions during the 70s. That was a
memorable time for me, and was especially so for reason
of the entire Hyatt family in leadership roles within
the Church body. God bless each of you as you continue in
the paths you have been taught.

Dear Family: Frances was a lovely woman. I never heard her speak ill of anyone; she always greeted you when she saw you and was kind to all whether young or old. She and your father John did a wonderful job of raising you children. I do wish many blessings on each of you and pray God continues to comfort you even in this difficult time. I have many pleasant memories of each of you. My love to you. In Christ, Connie Edmonds

Dear Friends,
We have not seen your mom in years but we have fond memories of Leo's teaching with her, seeing her at the beauty shop, seeing her in church, and remembering her smile.
Your dad and Sandy's dad, Lee Dunlap, were childhood friends.
We would pay our respects on Wednesday but we will be in Alexandria, VA with son, Chris, and family.
Thoughts and prayers are with you,
Leo and Sandra James

The family has my deepest sympathy and I will be remembering all of you in my prayers. Your mother was the happiest, kindest, most caring person I have ever known and a friend to all who knew her. Heaven has certainly gained a beautiful angel. She left me with so many beautiful memories of our times together. Rip my dear old friend....until we meet again as Heavenly friends.

I am so sorry for your loss. I just wanted to let you know that Ms. Hyatt was my favorite teacher in the whole world. I am a teacher now and I try to teach my class like I think she would have taught her classes. She was an amazing person and a great example for me.
