Obituary of Betty Jane Cogdill

Betty Jane Cogdill, 74, of Sylva, went home to be with the Lord Thursday morning April 16, 2015. Born in Macon County, NC, December 7, 1940, she was the daughter of the late John Willie and Ada Adams Cogdill. She was a lifelong member of Buff Creek Baptist Church. She loved to go to yard sales and playing the piano, but what came first was her Church. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her brother Furman Lee Cogdill and by her sister Lou Fisher. She is survived by 2 brothers- Eugene Cogdill of Sylva and Frank Cogdill of Balsam Grove 1 Sister- Sue Cogdill Caldwell and her husband Wayne of Sylva And several nieces and nephews also survive Funeral Services will be held 3:00 PM Saturday April 18 in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services with the Rev. Lloyd Fish officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 3:00 PM prior to the Service at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Addie Cemetery . . .
