Obituary of John Lee Tucker

On Sunday, May 3rd, 2015, John Lee Tucker left Pine Creek Community to go home. He was born December 25, 1944, to parents, Lucile and Wilfred Tucker, who preceded him in death. He is survived by his two children, Dana Tucker of Sylva, Chris Tucker and wife, Carla, of Cullowhee, his grandson, Christopher Tucker, and close extended family members. John Lee was very skilled in operating a bulldozer and telling big stories, although it is undetermined which was his greater skill. He loved to laugh, he loved making others laugh, and he enjoyed riding horses with family and friends. He loved singing most any song with a good bass line. He was a member of the Glenville-Cashiers Rescue Squad, serving as a rescue diver. He was a member and deacon of Pine Creek Church and enjoyed singing in the choir. Services will be on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at Pine Creek Church with Pastor Scott Taylor presiding. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 – 2:00 pm at Pine Creek Church. Burial will follow in the Pine Creek Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pine Creek Church Youth Group, 4484 Pine Creek Road, Cullowhee, NC 28723. . .
