Obituary of Martha Lucille Jones

Martha "Lucille" Jones, 91 of Mooresville, NC passed away on May 6th, 2015 at Levine & Dickson Hospice House of Huntersville, NC. Lucille was born April 8th, 1924 in Jackson Co., NC. She was the daughter of the late Tolvin & Della Hall. In addition to her parents she was pre-deceased by her husband Harrison Lee Jones, sisters Mary Katherine, Alice Mae, Lura Lee, brothers James "Ferry" Hall and Olin Spencer Hall. Lucille was a teletype operator for Western Union where she retired after 25 years. She was also a member of First Baptist Church in Mooresville, NC. She loved attending church and listening to gospel music. She loved her family, cooking, canning from the garden, she enjoyed bird watching, sewing, flowers especially pink roses, and she could make a insanely delicious homemade coconut cake. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, those left to cherish her memory are her son, Edwin Lee Jones(the late Melissa Jones), grandchildren, Chris Sigmon(Susan), Brandy Helms(Kevin), Katie Kiser(Brian), and Marley Jones, great grandchildren, Scout Sigmon, Carson Sigmon, Remington King, and Piper Jones, along with many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Funeral services will be held at Appalachian Funeral Services and Crematorium on Saturday May 9th, 2015. Receiving of friends will be from 2:30-3:30 and a graveside service will follow at Addie Cemetery.
