Obituary of Steven James Clay Cooper
Steven James "Clay" Cooper, 23, of Whittier, went home to be with his Lord, Sunday June 7, 2015. A native and lifelong resident of Jackson County, he was the son of Steve and Jennifer Mobbs Cooper of Whittier. He enjoyed blacksmithing and making knives, He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Dillsboro. He loved spending time with his family and playing with his kids. He was preceded in death by his grandfather James Woodrow Cooper.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his wife Stacey Hepker Cooper
1 Son- Lyceryn Hepker
1 Daughter- Sophia Marie Cooper
Maternal Grandparents- Marvin and Faye Mobbs of Georgia
Paternal Grandmother- Shirley Cooper of Jackson County, NC
Numerous aunts, uncles and cousins also survive
A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday June 13 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Dillsboro with the Rev. Tommy Ashe officiating.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Appalachian Funeral Services to help defray with the cost of the Services.
