Obituary of Linda Lee Buchanan

Linda Lee Buchanan, age 67, of Webster died Saturday, August 22, 2015 at Memorial Mission Hospital of Asheville, NC. Linda was born July 17, 1948 in Washington, DC. She is the daughter of the late Frank H and the late Kathleen (McGinnis) Buchanan. She worked at Smoky Mountain High School as a secretary in the guidance office and often said that was the best job she had ever had. She loved working with teens and sharing their lives. She enjoyed crocheting, especially making baby blankets, and loved her dog, Oscar. She is survived by her son Neal Morgan, and wife Sylvia, and granddaughter, Kathleen. She is also survived by her "sister" cousin, Carol Ann DeHart, and her double first cousin, Jimmy McGinnis, as well as many other family members. The funeral will be held at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, August 25 at Appalachian Funeral Services, 165 Skyland Drive, Sylva, NC with Rev. David Cathcart and Rev. Jim Dean officiating. Burial will follow in Webster Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 before the service.
