Obituary of Myron Franks

Myron Franks, age 76 , of Tuckasegee died at Harris Regional Hospital on August 27, 2015. Myron was born March 20, 1939 in Glenville, NC. He is the son of the late Bert and the late Floda Mae (Hooper) Franks. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, J.C., Evert, Lewis, Fred, Marion, and R.L., and a sister, June. Myron worked in road construction. He spent his life dealing with and handling wagons and horses, and loved every minute of it. He enjoyed camping. He was a member of Bible Believers Church in Saluda, SC. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Doris P. (Luker) Franks, his sons, Dewayne and Dawn, and Anthony and Marjorie, his daughters, Tina and Billy Cooper and Matilda Queen; 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; a brother, Clyde Franks; an honorary brother, John Leopard, and sisters, Pearl Lusk, and Opal Lee Bryson. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm on Sunday, August 30, 2015 at the Community Church of God in Tuckasegee, with the Rev. Leonard Luker, the Rev. Danny Jones, and the Rev. Ray Butler officiating. Burial will follow in Shook Cemetery. The family will receive friends from noon until 2:00 at the church. . .
