Obituary of James Avery Pennington

James Avery Pennington, 76, of Whittier, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday November 2, 2011, in a Buncombe County hospital. A native of Arkansas, he was the son of the late James Franklin and Ludie Pennington. He traveled extensively all over the Southern and Eastern United States before settling in Whittier 35 years ago. He was a self-employed Contractor. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by 3 brothers. He is survived by his wife of 33 years LaVerne Hostetler Pennington And his children from a previous marriage Sons- James Jr. of Louisiana Greg of Nebraska Chris of Louisiana Daughter- Ganetta of Louisiana 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren Stepchildren- Clark Emery Singo of Pennsylvania Vivian Hyatt of Bryson City Robert Carl Singo of Clyde Jean Davis of Whittier Granddaughter- RayAnn Garber of Georgia Sister- Lucy of Mississippi No services are planned at this time. . .
