Obituary of Hazel Bradsher

Hazel Bradsher, age 98, of Clayton, GA died Thursday, September 17, 2015 at Mountain View Nursing Home in Clayton, Georgia. Mrs. Bradsher was born December 6, 1916 in Jackson County NC. She is the daughter of the late William Grayson and the late Latha Jane (Gibbs) Foxx. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bradsher was also preceded in death by her husbands, Benjamin Shelton Bradsher and James Buckner; sisters, Otelia Wood, Minnie Reed, Nell Wood, Lettie Melton, and Virginia Foxx; brothers, Clyde and Ray Foxx. Mrs. Bradsher is survived by her sons, Ben Bradsher, Jr., and wife Isabelle; Gene Bradsher and wife Brenda; four grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren, and one sister, Ercie McConnell. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Mrs. Bradsher was a member of Woodland Church of Christ. She enjoyed going out to eat, loved her children and grandchildren, her church and church family and her Lord. She loved to travel and reminisce about the journeys. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 20 at 2:00 p.m. at Woodland Church of Christ with Clarence Hubbell officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Woodland Church of Christ to the campus ministry effort at Western Carolina University.
